It's worth it when how your business runs is specific enough that off-the-shelf software doesn't fit. In that case, customizing a ready-made solution can end up costing more than building something new. Custom software can also give you an edge, because it does something your competitors' systems don't.

If your business runs mostly on standard processes — invoicing, inventory, CRM, HR — and doesn't need deep customization, Odoo is an excellent, cost-effective choice. It's faster to implement and has a lower starting cost. I'm an Odoo Learning Partner, and happy to help with that path too.

The backend runs on Go, which is fast and efficient, especially under heavy load. The frontend is React-based, for a modern, responsive interface. PostgreSQL is the database, and the infrastructure runs on Kubernetes, on AWS or Google Cloud.

A basic system with a few core modules usually takes 3-6 months. A complex, full business management system can take 6-12 months. I work with an agile approach, so parts of the system become usable during development, not just at the end.

That's exactly why I build on cloud infrastructure. Kubernetes lets the system adjust automatically as load grows. You don't need to buy new servers — the system scales alongside your business.
