Why now?

From 2 August 2026 the national authorities gain full enforcement powers and the chatbot transparency rule applies. The AI literacy obligation has applied to every organisation that uses or deploys AI since February 2025. Most of the tasks are simple — but it is worth going through them before they fall due.
